The event took place at the Kartódromo Emerson Fittipaldi, located in Orla da Atalaia, a place that has been recently renovated by the municipal administration, with one of the purposes being to host major competitions such as the Championship.

One of the objectives of City Hall’s strategic planning to strengthen tourism is to support and attract events. This measure, in addition to creating tourism demand and heating up the tourism production chain, turns the capital of Sergipe into a competitive tourism market for the entire country.

According to the President of the Sergipi Automotive Federation (FSA), Kennedy Fonseca, the success of the North East Karting Championship should be passed on to the Aracaju City Hall through the Departments of Sports and Youth (Sejesp), Industry, Commerce and Tourism (Semict), as well as the municipal companies “Works and Urbanization (Emurb) and City Services (Emsurb), “who supported the organization from the very beginning to host the North East Karting Championship in Aracaju,” says the leader.

Kennedy Fonseca reported that most of the pilots and their crews arrived on Monday the 20th, “residing in the city for about eight days, staying at our chain of hotels and consuming food and services at our bars and restaurants.”

“Each rider, and there are only 120 of them at this competition, does not come alone, he comes as part of a team, mechanics, communications and relatives. I can say that our municipality employs more than 700 people from several states who earn foreign exchange for motorsports and tourism,” says Kennedy.

Drivers from several teams unanimously praised the structure and quality of the Emerson Fittipaldi Karting Track, recently refurbished by the City of Aracaju for the North East Karting Championship and the Brazilian Cup of Karting to be held in July.

“I found a track with good technique, perfect asphalt for us to try to show the best time, good driving, tire savings, incredible track,” praises driver Ana Laura Ogawa from the municipality of Palmas / TO.

“This track is much better than we imagined, very good tarmac, great track, really good track,” agrees Sisdeli Competições Team Principal Allan Sisdeli of Americana/SP.

Another rider who praised the track was Fabio Pereira Monteiro of Palmas/Toronto. He congratulated the city hall of Aracaju on “excellent work on the go-kart track”. “The asphalt was very good, everything was very beautiful, I can say that you are on a path that many other karting tracks do not have, so I must pay tribute and congratulate everyone who was involved in organizing and holding this Cup here. in Aracaju”, praises.

But besides the Emerson Fittipaldi Karting Track, another point that was highly appreciated by the participants of the event is the organization and quality of the city, with an emphasis on cleanliness and tourist infrastructure.

Adriel Fernandez Cabral da Silva from Pernambuco, from the city of Macaparana, came with his partner Warni Menezes Nascimento to accompany the teams for which he provides promotional services. Accustomed to out-of-state professional schedules, he praised the city and its network of services. “I really liked Aracaju. Jorge Fraga waved the checkered flag of the 23rd Brazilian Karting Cup, already confirmed for July with the support of the Aracaju City Hall, to the roar of engines and karts racing across the finish grid.
