Sections and Galleries
I’m 142 galleries participate in Arte Fiera 2022the full list is available at this link.
Here is a brief summary about the content of each section and its participants:
The Main section ranges from modern and post-war art, historical strengths of the event, through to contemporary research, with a strong emphasis on Italian art. Encourage monographic booths and curatorial proposals focused on a movement, a trend, a period of 20th century art.
Introduced in 2020, Focus is a section that deals with the modern and historicized post-war. To be content changes from year to year: the curator is invited to choose the period, the trend, the artistic movement on which he wants to focus. The 2022 edition of the section is curated by the art historian, critic and curator Marco Meneguzzo and will aim at the so-called “Exact art” (including kinetic art, programmed art and related experiences) tlate fifties and seventieswith a special focus on the Italian scene.
Painting XXIedited by independent critic and curator Davide Ferrinow in its second edition, is an unprecedented proposal for scholarships, not only in Italy: a overview of the painting of the new millennium, Italian and international, which ranges from emerging talent to mid-career artists who have found great consensus among professionals and the public in recent editions. For the first time, a trade fair is dedicating a specialized section to the more traditional artistic medium, which in recent years has once again become the focus of attention from critics, institutions and the market.
In the end photography and moving image, By the Fantom platform (represented by Selva Barni, Benedetta Pomini, Ilaria Speri, Massimo Torrigiani and Francesco Zanot), faces the photographic medium from a distinctly topical perspective: it fully encompasses the video, and is open to dialogue between photography and other media. In its third edition, it is now a permanent fixture in Italy for collectors and enthusiasts.
