Blac Chyna Loses $100 Million Lawsuit Against Kardashians

After two weeks of dramatic testimony — and just two days of deliberation — the $100 million trial that pits Blac Chyna against the Kardashians has concluded, with a Los Angeles jury siding with the reality TV family in a resounding rejection of the claims of the model, whose real name is Angela White. The verdict was announced Monday afternoon, when Kardashian family members were 3,000 miles away in New York City to attend the annual Met Gala.

As TMZ reported, the clerk asked the family attorney where they were, to which the attorney replied, “at some gala.”

Chyna filed her suit in 2017, alleging that the family defamed her and conspired to… Rob & Chyna, the 2016 reality show she did with former fiancé Rob Kardashian, went off the air and ruined her career. Meanwhile, the defense had argued that the couple’s breakup was what caused the show’s end.

While Chyna’s lawsuit initially involved Rob — the father of her 5-year-old daughter, Dream, to whom she was engaged in 2016 — her allegations against him, including assault and revenge porn for posting explicit photos of her online, will be treated with in a separate trial. In this case, her allegations involved Rob’s sisters Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian and Kylie Jenner, as well as his mother, Kris Jenner.

On Friday, a judge is said to have removed Kim from the lawsuit. Her attorney had argued that none of Kim’s comments about Chyna in communications with E! executives or her relatives had been defamatory, and Judge Gregory Alarcon agreed. The other women were still mentioned. In the end, the jury concluded that none of them were liable and no damages were awarded.

Rob Kardashian Says Blac Chyna Put A Gun To His Head And Tried To Kill Him

He claimed she held the gun, strangled him with a phone charger cord and beat him with a six-foot metal bar in a much-publicized incident in December 2016. “She tried to kill me,” Rob said. the court during his testimony on April 27.

In all, he said that Chyna had beaten him at least five times.

Chyna’s attorney argued that the day after she allegedly punched him, Rob showed no sign of a beating, asking, “Did you have as much as a band-aid on you?”

“I just told you it didn’t leave any marks on my face!” Rob responded. “And the gun to my head two different times during the night left no mark on my temple!”

Chyna had previously testified that she was never violent towards him. Her lawyer said if he really thought his life was in danger, he wouldn’t have left their daughter in the house.

“I got behind him and did that for fun,” Chyna said under oath on April 20. “I was just going to get his attention.” He was playing a video game. She said the move took place on December 14, 2016, the day they found out their E! reality show had been given the green light for a second season. however, the Rob & Chyna baby special that aired four days later would be the last of the episodes. She also recalled picking up an unloaded gun he kept on his dresser while FaceTime with a friend, and Rob understood she meant no harm.

Rob’s mother had a very different story. According to her, the violent fight between the two left him upset. “He was a mess,” Kris said tearfully, noting that daughter Kim had been held at gunpoint in Paris just two months earlier. “I could only imagine how he felt.”

On April 27, Kris’ partner, Corey Gamble, testified that he witnessed Chyna punch Rob and hit him with a phone charger cord. It happened on December 15, 2016, when he rushed to the couple’s home after Kris got a call from her son. When Gamble arrived, he said, he saw Chyna throw down a metal bar, then punch Rob and hit him with a string.

“By the time she got to him, she started beating him,” he said in the stands. “I could get in between those two. I even got hit two or three times.”

Kylie’s ex Tyga, who once dated Chyna and shares a son, had told her a 6-inch scar on his arm belonged to Chyna, Kylie testified. Yet she noted that she herself did not witness anything, only heard what had supposedly happened.

She also said she had once received “threatening” text messages from Chyna, although she had not taken them seriously and had not reported them to the police. Kylie’s mother confirmed that she was told about the incident and assumed that Chyna was mad at Kylie for being with Tyga.

Blac Chyna Reveals What Ended Her Relationship With Rob

The model said her partner’s jealousy caused them to break up. She cited that December 15th altercation, when she said Rob grabbed her phone and locked herself in a closet to see if she’d had any contact with other men. She then smashed a nearby gingerbread house and TV, though she insisted she didn’t hit Rob. “There had been a cycle in the past where he would take my phone and post stuff from it,” she said, “and it really made me sick.”

In fact, Rob told the jury he was at his “weakest” when he met her.

“I was probably in the worst place in my entire life,” he said. “She caught me at my lowest point.”

He insisted he hadn’t loved her.

“It wasn’t real love,” he said. “Otherwise we would have been married.”

Chyna had disrespected his family “in a hundred different ways,” he added, including when she didn’t attend a baby shower they hosted for her.

The emails and texts presented revealed that the three were asking for the show to end after that violence in December 2016. For example, Kylie had sent an email to executives insisting that Chyna “will continue to use and physically abusing my brother”, while Kris de Rob & Chyna showrunner that Chyna “knocked the bastard out of Rob’s face.”

However, former E! President Adam Stotsky told the court the three “don’t have the authority to actually do that.”

Although she was acquitted in the lawsuit, Kim did say she demanded that Chyna stay away Keeping up with the Kardashians after learning about her alleged altercations. “I’m not going into a toxic work environment,” she told the court on April 26. “In my own show, I have the power to do that.”

Kim’s Saturday Night Live Beau sat in court during closing arguments and even gave her a kiss. While that appearance was unexpected, it wasn’t exactly shocking, as the two have been inseparable since they were first spotted together in October 2021.
