Snails are perhaps one of the most controversial snacks of summer. There are those who find them “disgusting”, those who eat silver at a glance, and those who thoroughly appreciate what’s inside its shell (if you know what we mean).
When May comes and gets a little warm, the pots of restaurants and taverns go to the stove. Add a pinch of salt, pepper, garlic cloves, onions, lots of olive oil to the snails and, depending on the location, you can find it with bay leaf or slices of pepper in the case of snails. recipe algarvian
It’s true that snails are the star of the snacks that start to emerge more strongly in April and May, but everything else loses its fun without a side of toast with butter. Not to mention the beer, very cold.
Here are five places to taste the complete set: well-made snails, beer, and toast for dipping into the sauce (don’t ask, try if you’ve never had it).
