“To Be There. Paths between art, technology and the environment” in Rocca Ripesena

The change in societies and all those habits and behaviors that were previously taken for granted must inevitably usher in or restore a more adequate relationship with the environment, with the world and with the earth. From this realization, the A.Ge. – Italian Parents’ Association of Orvieto and the rhodolog-composer Walter Branchi launch for Friday 13 Saturday 14 e sunday 15 may a series of insights on the theme “To Be There. Paths between art, technologies and the environment”. Sponsored by the Municipality of Orvieto, Gal Trasimeno Orvietano, Cittaslow and Cesvol, the initiative uses numerous collaborations, starting with Cnr and Fidapa Orvieto.

The event, with free entry, will take place between the historic center, in the spaces of the new municipal library “Luigi Fumi”, and the village of Rocca Ripesena – “Il Paese delle Rose” – a unique location born of the project started in 2008 by A.Ge., which today also thanks to its didactic rose garden is a reality kept alive by volunteering and the active participation of all the inhabitants of the hamlet, and which perfectly summarizes the objectives of the event.

The three days will be attended by schools, teachers, professionals, tourist operators, artists, scientists of scientific and humanistic disciplines and, after two years of health emergency, the intention is to be a first step towards a path of sharing, change and awareness, offered to all generations and especially to young people, schools and the whole community who educate for a forward-looking reflection on the future, starting from the change of individual behavior to influence the collective changes that make the difference.

“Age restarts after a break, even if it never really stopped,” he explained Saturday 7 May the chairman of the A.Ge. Association, Monia Pieroni on the occasion of the presentation of the event – the event has kept us busy for months since last fall and stems from an idea of Walter Branchi that was received with enthusiasm; the power came from Martina Dal Savio and Lorenzo Ricci, young people who want to work together.

How Andrea Graziani, the Vice President Francesca Compagnucci, worked together. Starting over is always difficult but slowly we are putting the bricks together and for that we have to involve the city because the network between the different moments of city aggregation is essential and the collaboration we often talk about is not always taken for granted. The environment is common ground and consistent with our mission, so we need to work on strengthening effective collaboration”.

“An event that comes back to life after the years of the pandemic and that will not only address topics on which our city has founded much of the post-Covid reboot, but above all returns to show the great work of the associations that even in this dark and complicated situation, they continued to work hidden to keep the social fabric of the city alive and vital,” said the mayor, Roberta Tardanic who added: “the A.Ge. was born in 2008 in Orvieto and in recent years it has been a planning process that Covid has temporarily stopped but is being restarted today with further incentives.

There are the conditions for the restart of the territory. Orvieto has always focused on the beauty that history has given us, now we must invest in the care of the environment that affects the whole community called to commit to achieving goals. In this city everything is there, more cohesion is needed. But there are elements to think about the future. The associations have worked hard and even during the pandemic, each association continued to make plans. Today the fruits of this work are being reaped. The project of A.Ge. it is interesting because of the themes it carries and these elements are our strength towards sustainable development. The Land of Roses is one of the paths on which we will focus on our territory. We have turned our attention to Orvieto, now let’s take a closer look at the beauties”.

“In Rocca Ripesena, the ‘Land of Roses’ was born from a union of individuals who believed in an idea because they believe in a particular environment and work together to preserve it in its beauty – underlined Walter Branchic – the appointment of the coming days is an event born in Orvieto for the world and the problems we face will affect the world and its institutions. One is electronic music, invented music not based on instrumental sound that looks to the future.”

Also Francesca Compagnucci vice-chairman A.Ge. and President Fidapa Orvieto focused on the “huge potential of the event which is now in its zero edition and which could have a national and international development. The themes addressed during the three days will be an opportunity for generations to meet to participate in the study days where adults and children can share moments of reflection and practical workshops together”.

“We’ll talk about what we are and what we want to be, and especially about the 360-degree environment and species conservation,” he said. Andrea Grazian† The importance of involving other realities and the contribution that everyone can make to living interactive experiences was instead emphasized by: Martina Dal Saviowhile Lorenzo Riccia he insisted on concrete actions that everyone can take to protect the environment around us and on the role of humans in the impact that climate change has on the environment and the planet. Themes are treated integrated between environment, art and technology with installations, round tables, experiences. Finally, he spoke about the union and balance between technology and nature, Fabio Blackbeard
