Next Wednesday, May 4, M6 broadcast the twelfth week of the Top Chef competition. At the end of the tests, one of the chefs had to give up his apron. Find out which one has been eliminated.
They were only seven in the running† This Wednesday, May 4, M6 let its viewers experience the twelfth week of the competition from top chef† And the least we can say is that the candidates undergo increasingly more complex tests than the others. However, there is no doubt that the prestigious culinary competition is deviating from its rule. At the end of the various challenges to be faced and then the last chance, one of the chefs was eliminated. That is Wilfried Romain who had to give up his apron† A blow for Paul Pairet who, like Hélène Darroze, only has one candidate in his team, namely Lilian Douchet. But what happened next that caused the winner of the Restaurant Wars (again) to lose his place inside top chef †
With only two links per brigade, they each had their ordeal† This didn’t stop them from working together as their respective dish scored points† Only Louise – the only candidate still in the race from Hélène Darroze’s team – had to participate in both events. For the first time, the creativity of the chefs was called upon as they came up with a unique culinary experience for Chef Mike Bagale. For example, Louise made him eat an edible “tablecloth”, while Wilfried wanted to make him travel by offering him five bites, each representing a country. †There isn’t even a picture, I can’t be the last, it’s impossibleexclaimed the latter. If he didn’t finish last in the standings, unfortunately he didn’t shine† Surely the chef recognized every country Wilfried wanted his taste buds to travel in and thought his dish was “very successful†
Which got Wilfried eliminated from Top Chef
However, Wilfried only finished third so he could only score one point† Arnaud finished fourth and last and therefore did not score any points. On the other hand, Pascal and Louise succeeded in their bet. The last woman in competition scored two points, while the youngest of the competitionPascal got three points and became first thanks to a spicy dish. A pride for his brigade leader, Philippe Etchebest who “bluffed” by his foal but also for Paul Pairet who wanted to greet his performance† †What you did was exceptional. When you announce it, the idea seems magical, but it seemed very difficult to execute. Unbelievable ! I would have loved to have this idea and I hope you’ll work it out because it’s a magnificent signature dish. One of the most beautiful dishes of the season, if not the most beautiful of the seasoncongratulated Paul Pairet.
For the second test, the candidates had to surprise chef Anne-Sophie Pic with a dish based around a single vegetable and without animal proteins. Before that, they still had all varieties of this vegetable at their disposal. Lilian – who together with Wilfried is part of Paul Pairet’s brigade – had to pull out the beets, Mickaël – team Philippe Etchebest with Pascal – fell on the carrot, Sébastien – from Glenn Viel’s team with Arnaud – had to sublimate beans, while Louise had to make got with with chicory. If she hates this vegetable, she has decided to turn it into a dessert. And it paid off, because Anne-Sophie Pic awarded her the three winning points. Lilian got two, Sébastien only one and Mickaël none. After adding the different points, only Louise automatically qualified for the rest of the competition, while the other three brigades were in the hot seat. Philippe Etchebest, Paul Pairet and Glenn Viel made the same choice: send the last chance the candidate who scored the fewest points in their team, namely Wilfried, Arnaud and Mickaël. The War of the Restaurants winning trio therefore faced a final test around the duck breast Wilfried chose to cook Asian street food style. That wasn’t enough to let him keep his place. If this elimination moved Arnaud to tears, Wilfried only keeps the positive† †I am so glad I made this adventure. I had this second chance. A great second chance† No regrets“, he assures, convinced that he “There really was a Wilfried before Top Chef and there will be a Wilfried after Top Chef. It’s still a crazy experience. I feel super lucky to have been able to live it and I think I lived it to the fullest†
